Tell Us How You Really Feel? / Results

The “Tell Us How You Really Feel? / Results” presentation follows up on 3hd’s survey collaboration with physician and prospective psychiatrist Anna Willert from last year. Hypothesizing that self-care is a social act, and therefore a political rather than a purely personal issue, the aim of the study was to examine the effects of the Internet on our mental well-being.

Happening at Studio 1 of Berlin’s Künstlerhaus Bethanien on Saturday, October 27, Willert returns to share the results of the survey, it's sample population drawn from the 3hd 2017 festival audience. The presentation connects that year’s theme of “Whatever You Thought, Think Again” with the current “System.Lure” in questioning and challenging the psychological and emotional effects of contemporary networked society.

Willert will address the outcomes from the position of her medical and psychological background, and question data collection as the norm in contemporary statistical analysis. She will respond to the power relations implied by these survey results, which include income, employment, the number and nature of a person’s Facebook friends, and more.
