Jubilee

Jubilee has been staying up all night since as long as anyone can remember. She grew up in South Florida on the sounds of Miami bass, freestyle and Dirty South rap blasting from local radio stations like Power 96 and 99 Jamz. As a teen, she traveled to raves up and down the coast, absorbing Florida’s uniquely regional palette of breaks, electro and drum ‘n’ bass. By the time she moved to New York City and started frequenting drum ‘n’ bass parties like Direct Drive and Konkrete Jungle, D&B was already becoming a gateway drug to a love of other UK underground styles such as grime, garage, dubstep and UK funky.

Jubilee’s sound connects techno, bass music, regional American club music, dancehall and breaks in a way that feels effortless. If you were tuned into her year-long BBC Radio 1 residency, checking out her sets for Boiler Room or the Do-Over or pressing play on her tracks and remixes, you were hearing a love letter to all the places and musical moments that inspired Jubilee to take up DJing in the first place. This cutting-edge track selection, coupled with her infectious charisma behind the decks, has earned Jubilee primetime slots at Creamfields, Lollapalooza, Dour Festival, AMP Lost & Found and Montreux Jazz Festival as well as a residency on The Lot Radio and frequent guest appearances on Rinse FM, SIriusXM, Triple J and NTS.

Along with championing the freshest underground dance music on radio, Jubilee continues to introduce new artists to the world via her Magic City record label and party of the same name, which has featured talent such as Trina, Boys Noize, Dj Technics, ?uestionmarc, Om Unit, Black Noi$e, and Luke Vibert. Look out for even more surprises and late-night bangers from this superhero as we move into the new decade.

Jubilee is participating in "Fools and Their Folly."
