A band of loose spirits congregate in a dystopian bar for one night only—a subconscious dimension, where themes of horror, fantasy and fetish collide. This three-hour workshop blends theater and choreography, sound and movement, to culminate in a live group performance the following night. Linking happy hardcore euphoria with the essence of decaying grunge, “KAREOKI AT THE SLAGHEAP” invites participants to this act of communion and exploration, humour and rebellion.
We prioritise play, personality, and curiosity. All bodies, all ages, all voices, all hearts are welcome. No performance experience is needed—just a willingness to experiment. Whether you're engaged with music, dance, sound, or movement—or not—you’re invited to take part.
What to bring: Comfortable clothes (layers recommended), flat shoes and optional heels or boots, ear defenders (strobes and loud sounds may be used), a flashlight or torch (optional), and any instruments you’d like to incorporate—just let us know.
What to expect: An intense and imaginative session with music, lighting, movement, and plenty for raw connection.
Workshop: October 3, 12-4pm at Haus der Visionäre
Performance: October 4, 11pm.
