Lewis Walker is a London-born queer, non-binary movement artist whose practice bridges gymnastics, contemporary dance, and performance. A former Great Britain gymnast and Acrobatic Gymnastics World Champion, Walker trained from childhood before earning a degree in Contemporary Dance. Their dynamic movement style has led to collaborations with Tim Walker, Yorgos Lanthimos, ANOHNI, Tirzah, Burberry, and the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA), among others.
Walker also choreographs competition routines for the Great Britain, Italian, and French national gymnastics teams. Committed to the transformative potential of movement, their workshops explore dance improvisation as a ritual of shared energy and the integration of hypnotherapy, in collaboration with Michele Occelli, for personal transformation. Currently, Walker is a Studio Wayne McGregor RESIDENT 6 artist-in-residence.
