Billy Klotsa

Billy Klotsa, aka Vasiliki Antonopoulou, is a London and Athens-based filmmaker exploring the emotional bonds and dynamics emerging between sexual and gender diverse people. With themes ranging from love, loss, desire and internal conflict, Klotsa's scripts and paintings draw from myth, literature, and carefully observed locations. These manifest in poetic narratives that embrace imagination, slowness, and the Other as means to challenge the expected behaviors, rules, and physics framed by the built environment.

Earning an MA in Contemporary Art Practice from the Royal College of Art in 2018, Klotsa has also exhibited internationally at Michael Cacoyannis Foundation and Cypher in Athens; Matt’s Gallery, Mimosa House, and The Victoria & Albert Museum in London, as well as MIX New York Queer Experimental Film Festival, among others. Features and interviews include ACNE Paper, Frieze Review, the Queer Direct Publication, and more.
