Göksu Kunak & Laure M. Hiendl

Göksu Kunak (aka Gucci Chunk) is a writer and performance artist interested in queer methodologies and hybrid texts. They have performed their writing and lectures at HAU Berlin, Bâtard Brussels, Tropez Berlin, Pioneer Works and Montez Press Radio in New York, and Centre d’Art Contemporain in Geneva, among others. Their first book #225 I thought this would was published by New York’s Belladonna* Collaborative in January 2018, while other texts and poems have appeared in a number of publications, including Portrait Wayne McGregor and the official page of the Tunisian Pavilion at the 57th Venice Biennale. Kunak is also working on their PhD on queer chronopolitics and dramaturgy with Prof. Dr. Bojana Kunst.

Laure M. Hiendl is a composer and performer whose work is situated between concert music, performance, musical theater, installation and other interdisciplinary realms. They explore the performativity of the space-time-body relationship in music as a live act, as a shared space in time between bodies for an event that is inherently theatrical. Hiendl’s works have been presented at festivals and institutions, including Ultraschall and Akademie der Künste in Berlin, the Darmstadt School, Graz’s Impuls, and The Kitchen and Roulette in New York, among others, while their opera installation “PARADISE” was premiered on the Musikprotokoll platform, as part of Steirischer Herbst festival in 2016. They are currently pursuing a doctorate at New York’s Columbia University with George E. Lewis.
