Marta Forsberg is a Swedish composer, sound artist and violinist working in the field of installation art, drone music and free improvisation. Dedicated to creating an immersive environment, her work extends the sensory realm through multichannel expansion and light sculptures — a sonic visualisation.
In 2012, Forsberg founded Konstmusiksystrar with composer Lo Kristenson, a woman and trans-separatist organisation working for equality in the contemporary music scene in Sweden. She is a member of the artist collective GDDK in Stockholm, a collective that functions as a safe and supportive nod for its members to share economic costs, knowledge and love in a fragmented cultural industry.
