Riccardo Benassi

Riccardo Benassi frequently collaborates with architects, artists, curators, musicians, and theorists. In his work as an artist, he not only reflects on the impact that modern technologies have on our daily relation to time and space. He also analyzes how technological devices have radically altered the ways in which we organize our shared realities, for instance the world of architecture and politics, but also our cultural productions and pattern of consumption. Benassi’s works assemble diverse elements; they combine image with sound, color with text, design objects with various other materials in order to create large-scale installations, videos, performances as well as artist’s books and sculptural objects. In each and every of these projects, the visual is always just one of the many aspects that create a final effect.
