Flora Yin-Wong

London-born producer, writer and DJ, Flora Yin-Wong (a.k.a. ||FLORA) works with field recordings, dissonance, and influences from contemporary club culture. Her debut EP City God, a tape release on New York’s PTP Recordings, was inspired by Daoist traditions in relation to tutelary deities and the afterlife, using distorted sounds from temples, and traditional Cantonese/Eastern concepts.

Yin-Wong has since contributed to Berlin label PAN's mono no aware compilation with ambient track ‘Lugere’, as well as a composition piece made up of seven layers of a violin, played, recorded and processed by the artist, released alongside the likes of Lolina and IVVVO on Caridad Records in September 2017. She has also provided remixes for the likes of Eaves, Scintii, and Halcyon Veil's Celyn June, and contributed to Ziùr's 2016 Co-Op release, alongside the likes of M.E.S.H., GIL, and Why Be, and Lara Rix-Martin's Objects Limited imprint ft. coucou chloe and KABLAM. Aside from DJing venues and events like Berghain, Bloc and others across Antwerp, Copenhagen, New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Seoul, Beijing, Sydney, Yin-Wong was invited to curate a performance at London's Cafe OTO for her debut live show, as support for Kara Lis-Coverdale.
